A bit about me
I'm Gilles - French, a product person, and by my own honest assessment a pretty normal guy. No viral launches, no big exit. Just a long, winding path through the work.
I started out in finance and consulting - KPMG, Sanofi, a couple of years running my own consulting agency (deseed) - before I caught the product bug. I spent close to four years at PayFit, growing from product builder to team lead, then co-founded Billabex in its early days. I left in mid-2026 when the direction stopped matching mine - motion without meaning gets exhausting.
So now I build on my own terms: small products, lean and AI-native. Some will work, most won't. I write all of it down here as it happens.
If you build things too - solo or on a small team, on nights and weekends - this is for you. And when I'm not building, I'm probably bouldering or spending time with my wife and daughter.
